Warrnambool: Where To Stay And What To Do

With two little ones in tow on our travelling adventures, we love to stay in nice children friendly places. Our most recent trip found us staying at BIG4 Hopkins River Holiday Park and it was amazing. We cannot recommend it highly enough the staff were wonderful and the park was very clean and inviting.

Our girls never wanted to leave and why would you there was:

Jumping Pillow

Pedal Go Karts ($5.00) for 30 minutes

Indoor heated swimming pool and spa.

Outdoor lagoon pool with waterside and raining mushrooms.

A games room

Mini golf

Parents bathroom (huge win for us having two girls makes it much easier for Daddy to help out with bathroom duties)

It has something for children of all ages. We were so impressed with our stay, Brett and Catherine take such pride in their park and are an absolute pleasure to stay with. Warrnambool has so much to offer there so many events and activities.

Here’s some quick links to our top 4 things to do while you are staying in Warnambool that are FREE or don’t cost a lot of money.

1. Tower Hill

I would reccomend doing the night walk as that is on our list for next time. The day time walks are stunning and you are bound to see Australian wildlife. Free to go on your own walks. Or there is the option for a paid guided tour.

2. Meet The Maremmas

If you are heading to Warnambool and you haven’t seen the movie Oddball check it out. Then grab your tickets $15 per adult and free for children all proceeds go back into the conservation of the little penguins on Middle Island. Wonderful hands on educational experience.

3. Lake Petrobe

An absolutely amazing Play ground it has something for everyone caters for a wonderful range of ages and abilities. From tyre swings, giant slides and dizzy whizzies to nature walks and mazes this park has it all.

4. Cheese World

This is awesome free family fun not only do you get to taste and sample delicious cheeses and chutneys. There’s also a wonderful heritage museum which is also free. Our girls had a fantastic time exploring, learning and asking questions there.

BIG4 Hopkins River Holiday Park have an amazing deal on at the moment stay 4 pay for 3 until the end of February 2018. So what are you waiting for?

Cheers to BIG4 Hopkins River for supporting us on this past trip.

Disclosure – We were provided our site free of charge for the purpose of review. All opinions expressed are based on our experience visiting Big4 Hopkins River Holiday Park. I did not receive payment for this review.
